TOBY KEITH JOINS FORCES WITH CAN-DO AND LIVIN’THE MUSIC TO ASSIST THE PEOPLE OF HAITI
Nashville, TN As the world watches the people of Haiti struggle each day for survival; Nashvillians have been given a unique opportunity to have a direct impact on the relief effort. Country star Toby Keith has joined forces with award-winning relief agency CAN-DOand Livin’ The Music by donating seven semi trailers to PROJECT HAITI allowing a drop site to be set up right here in Nashville.
Now we are calling upon the community of Nashville to donate medical supplies, non-perishable food and water purification products at the Nashville drop off site where members of Livin’ The Music are on hand to load them onto trucks. The drop site located at Sounds Stage, 1420 Cowan Court, is open 7 days a week now through Feb 2. On that day, supplies will be shipped directly to Port Au Prince airport in Haiti, where Eric Klein, of Oprah’s BIG GIVE/founder of CAN-DO will be on site to receive and distribute the items.
How You Can Help
Supplies, tents, and mobile operating units can be sent over on the barges. We need the necessary medical equipment to supply these makeshift field hospitals: generators, mobile A/C units, water tanks, anesthesia, oxygen tanks, medicines. These supplies and funding for these supplies are needed now -it is an absolute critical necessity. Take action. Spread the word. Mobilize. Donate. We need it. Please do whatever you can to help us get medical attention to earthquake survivors.
I will continue to keep this updated and will alert you to developments. I can not express the extent of the devastation. It is urgent that we do this. Thank you for your support. We can't do it without you.
