MMA COMMUNITY GYM & MENTORSHIP CENTER
CAN-DO's Fighting Chance MMA Gym offers free and low-cost training and mentorship for at-risk youth, former foster youth, and people in recovery. The new Long Beach location is CAN-DO’s third community gym launched since 2019. The Fighting Chance courses are led by former LA foster youth turned pro MMA fighter, Chase Gibson. The CAN-DO x Fighting Chance gyms build discipline, life skills, and a strong, supportive community for hundreds of students each month.

ANIMAL TRANSPORTS
CAN-DO has facilitated seven large-scale rescue and transports of animals that are too often forgotten after a disaster strikes. We work with no-kill shelters to facilitate rescue/transport of animals from crisis situations and temporary shelters.


TEXAS HURRICANE RELIEF
THE SITUATION: Hurricane Harvey devastated Rose City, Texas, a community where 99% of homes were submerged . Months after the storm, many residents — including retirees and veterans — remained displaced and without financial assistance. Despite billions raised for disaster relief, the town received virtually no support from FEMA or major aid organizations.
