WAPELLO, Iowa – Gov. Chet Culver and first lady Mari Culver are scheduled this afternoon to tour Oakville and Wapello.
Oakville was evacuated June 14, when its levee failed and was topped by the Iowa River. The town remains closed, but some of its 400 residents have been allowed to visit their homes and get some of their belongings.
