Can-do's current plan...

Can-do is currently in the process of putting together a proposal outlining the creation of Temporary Turn-key Communities which we feel are necessary for various communities that have been affected by the Hurricane Katrina. These communities will provide all the necessary civil services for day-to-day life as relief and reconstruction efforts progress into the future. Beyond civil services, these communities will host job fairs, seminars, workshops, trade training opportunities and other services to help individuals address their employment situations and look ahead toward sustaining their future. Brian Brawdy has teamed up with Can-do...

Adventurer and explorer Brian Brawdy has teamed up with Eric Klein and Can-do. Eric and Brian are in the process of creating a plan to go back and help the people of New Orleans, Alabama, and Mississippi before and after this second hurricane. The victims can expect Eric and Brian as they have joined to help raise awareness and get to the people immediately and “hands-on”.

More to come….

The result of a few phone calls...

Writing this from a cubical in San Leandro, CA, headquarters of The North Face. I have been working first hand with Eric and his teammate Dave Oppenheim on getting the product donations out of our warehouses and into the affected disaster areas. These guys are abosolutely amazing! Within a few days of logistical coordination and frenzied phone calls I am now looking at the product arriving in Slidell. It’s incredible to see the efforts being made getting this stuff to those in need. It’s one thing to wirte a check but a completely different and more exhilerating experience to see action taking place. Eric and Dave-thanks so much for your tremendous and tireless efforts. And thanks to my employer for allowing me to make this happen.
