CAN-DO met with the mayors of Croix Des Bouquet today. In a collaborative effort with the Haitian government, we will be launching the Haiti Domes Project. On Sat, Jan 15th, CAN-DO will start building the school. The school was destroyed by the earthquake so the kids are forced to have their classes outside, in cramped conditions, under hot tents, exposed the elements. There are 1200 kids ages 8yrs – 15yrs up, grades 3rd through 9th. Report from Eric in Haiti now: CAN-DO in transit to orphanage in Kenscoff, 40 miles outside PAP – food/emergency supply drop to 60+ kids ages 4-10. 5 reported cases of cholera, 2 mortalities. In need of medical personnel at location. Will provide GPS location once we arrive. – ek

Area- Boucan, Kenskoff 74. Men-sove Orphanage (translation- “Hands in Hands Save” Orphanage). There are 60+ kids here, ages 4-10. They’ve had 5 reported cases of cholera and 2 mortalities.
